TOPIC: Audio Interfaces and Latency

Audio Interfaces and Latency 5 months 1 week ago #18272

Hi, I just wanted to post some results I have here. If anyone is searching for an Audio Interface, I cannot suggest RME enough. If you need less inputs the RME Babyface Pro is phenomenal. I have tested a lot of interfaces and Babyface Pro is way up on the charts with regards to quality and especially the most well written drivers available. Most of us are using USB 2.0 now and with USB it is possible to get very low Round Trip Latency results.
If you are on the fence or debating purchasing a new interface. RME is honestly the only company I would purchase. Yes there are cheaper interfaces that do the job. But they are not nearly as stable when it comes down to it. That being said you can view the Latency results here.

Also this isa topic that is discussed in great detail and has been tested by many of folks. RME wins everytime.

The discussion can be seen here.

I have also posted some images.

Keep in mind the important numbers to look for here are Buffer Settings and RTl. The lower the RTL the better
