Any chance we can use 3rd party VST's? 4 months 3 weeks ago #19689

This would open up the door at least in the standalone application. I would love to see a spot where we could load our own Effects :)

Yes, as someone who primarily uses S-Gear in standalone mode, that would be awesome if implemented nicely. Would be really cool to load the Kuassa or Mercuriall pedal plugins. I think Mike would do it in a nice intuitive way. Although I don't know how easy it actually would be.

Cantible do a VST wrapper that lets you load multiple VST's.
Not a user of it myself, but I understand it is pretty widely used for this purpose.
Windows only at the moment though.

Blue Cat Audio's Patchwork is also nice for loading a number of VSTs in a flexible way. I've tried it and it works great. You can even setup parallell processing chains..

Yes, but it would be nice to be able to load in effects in s-gear. Also with the ability to move them around wherever we choose. Pre amp, post amp, etc.
